Looking For Family.

A Memory of Abertysswg.

My father Steve Martin, had fond memories and would relate stories of his family and living in the village of Abertysswg.He was born at Charles Street, the home of his grandfather WILLIAM JOHN HARTSHORN ,his aunt PHYLLIS and uncles EMLYN and BILLY also lived at the house. BILLY HARTSHORN died 1935 he had a motorbike, my father did not want me to have a motorbike,he told me that BILLY had died while riding his bike, I am not sure if this is correct.My fathers mothers name was BEATRICE she married STEPHEN MARTIN and had moved to Tylorstown but had returned to Abertysswg on the death of her MotherHenrietta Ada in 1930 to look after her two youger siblings.I have been informed that decendants of the HARTSHORN family still live in the village.Even though my father spoke of his grandparents , they were musical, played instruments, sung and went to Chapel he did not tell me where their final resting place is.If anyone remember, or know the family or can help please get in touch I would be very grateful.
