Lightning Strike

Since this photo was taken the top of the large tree in the background has been hit by lightning. Around four or five feet of bare wood sticks out at the top of the tree. I don’t know when this happened.

Hi Edward, I went to Wotton School from 1957, I remember while at the primary school the headmistress (Anne Seagrave) said Abinger Common church had been hit by lighting, I guess this was around the year 1960. I think the children's parents donated some money or we had a jumble sale to help. My father drove us to the church shorthly after it was hit.
