The Lodge Adderbury House
My family lived in The Lodge (house on far right of picture) for about 47 years.
The Lodge is the gatehouse to the mansion called Adderbury House which became a home for elderly after the 2nd World War. The two pubs you can see are The Red Lion (still exists) and The Wheatsheaf which is now a house.

RE: RE: The Lodge Adderbury House
Oh, the Wheatsheaf Hotel - I remember this so well. Not so much the inside but the name was a household name. I don't know why - Mom grew up in what was once Baynards, in the 1920's - land I believe belonged to Fuller Earth Works. I have the picture of my Auntie's house she lived in when she was a little girl and the train station during the war. I've failed to find out anything about Baynards except that she lived with Auntie and Uncle for a very long time and finished school in Horsham from Guildford. i wish she had been able to see all the picutres I've found on here.
