Girls Names
I am looking for information on my grandmother who is listed as being at Princess Mary Village in Addlestone in the 1901 census. We have been able to ascertain she left there in March 1908. Does anyone have a list of the names of the girls in this particular image.

RE: RE: Girls Names
Hi June
The records for 'Princess Mary's Village Homes' went to the 'Surrey History Centre' in Woking:
http://www.surreycc.gov.uk/surreyhistoryservice/
There would be a ban ? 70/100 ? years for viewing records of children in care.
So you should be okay and hope your Grandmother is there.
Good luck

RE: RE: Girls Names
Hi, my grandmother Martha Lilian Ward and her sister Emily were sent to Princess Mary Homes in 1893 with Lizzie Howard 5, Henry Dixon 7 and John Barratt 9. They were all living in a brothel in Ascot Street, Canning Town. I have not been able to find out what happened to these children and wonder if this information is helpful to anybody.
Regards, Shirley (Ken Epps).
