Bullocks Row
Does anyone know of a place in Edgmond called Bullocks Row? My great grandmother Ada Charlotte Fox was living there in 1881 but I have been unable to find this address on any map. Any information or photos of this place would be greatly appreciated. Maybe someone even knows the family? She was the daughter of Thomas Fox and Charlotte Lea
Hubble/Hubbal
Does anyone know of Flatt Lodge in Edgmond as quoted from the 1871 Census with Hubbal's living there? I am unable to find it on any map.
John Weaver Lilleshall Sculptor
John Weaver is shown as being a stonemason on the 1827 Lilleshall baptism certificate of his son Alfred Weaver.
A family anecdote says that John Weaver took commissions for monumental sculptures and that after a statue of a horse and rider was unveiled it was noticed that he had omitted the girth straps for the saddle. This caused considerable ridicule from others and eventually depressed him so much that he took his own life by shooting himself.
I have long wondered if somewhere in or near Lilleshall there is such a statue?

Statue Not Sighted

Apprenticeship
C&W Walkers Ltd Gas & Constuctional Engineers - I worked here from 1964- 1976 when I did my apprenticeship as a welder/fabricator. Unfortunatly it was demolished in 1993 and turned into a housing estate.
Hanmer Family
My grandmother, Sarah Jane Hanmer, was born a twin in Eyton in 1910, her mother, also Sarah Jane Hanmer, is buried there. They were a large family, and my great-grandfather was a farmer. All the children went to school there. Their house is still standing, near the church in Eyton. My grandmother was a chamber maid in a big house near there, possibly Wellington. My great-grand mother was married twice, after the death of her first husband who had the surname Lewis.
Owen Family Oakengates/Wellington
Does anybody out there remember the Owen family that once lived/worked in Station Fields, Oakengates during the 1920's-1930's?
The dad was Bert and the mum was Mary. Mary died 1933 and left a young family of at least 4 children, one being my father, Clarence.
Due to the young ages of the children, dad and his elder sister Mary don't remember very much and it would be a great help to find out some information for them.
My grandfather Bert was a coal miner on dads birth certificate and it states that the address of Station Fields was where he was working at the time. Was there accommodation there also?
I also have '18 and a half' Holyhead Road, Wellington as an address on his certificate. Did he happen to be born at his father's place of work?
If anyone can help I will be most grateful.
