Aldershot Hospital
I was born at the Aldershot Hospital but I don't know if its this one. It was in St Josephs Road near the Catholic St Josephs School. I was born there with my twin sister in June 1956 and had my tonsils out there too!! very painful!

RE: RE: Aldershot Hospital
I was also born in The Aldershot 'Cottage Hospital', or 'Aldershot General' as it was sometimes known as- in Dec,1964. I didn't realise how many of us returned to have our tonsils removed as well! I believe the hospital was demolished in 1977- its site being I believe on the corner of St Georges Road and Church Lane East- see: http://www.google.fr/maps?ie=UTF8&ll=51.243176,-0.762606&spn=0.000631,0.001432&t=h&z=20&layer=c&cbll=51.243253,-0.76258&panoid=arMIwlHnMifCfFviO9HPlA&cbp=12,336.03,,0,7.01 I remember attending 'Mrs Smith's' nursery school around 1967/68- I can't remember if it was in St Georges Rd, St Michael's Rd or St Joseph's Rd- it would be interesting if anyone has any ideas.
