Being one of the first residents in Belhus Estate (Foyle Drive) I remember the night in 1957 when the fire engines came when the old mansion burned down.

What number Foyle Drive were you? My Nan and Grandad were number 23 and they moved in as soon as it was built.They both lived there until they died, Nan was only recently... 18 months ago.So she was the longest living tenant in the whole of South Ockendon up until that point.
