RE: RE: Barkingside History

The book I think you are refering to is "Barkingside Memories"
It was written by Helen Finch and the number is ISBN 0-7524-3517-5.

It contains some excellent photographs and memories of before, during
and after the war. An excellent read.

RE: RE: Barkingside History

The memories I have of Barkingside is where the swimming pool is was a field with horses and as there was a bus stop there it was so nice to see a bit of the country and the high street was such a lovely shopping centre with Ross's icecream and Pithers Bakery where everyone was so friendly and the Fairlop Oak public house. All gone forever now, just memories.
