My grandfather was Manager of the District Bank, Barrow-In-Furness during the 1950's and 1960's.
Please can somebody confirm if there was only one branch, as I have no idea of the address.

RE: RE: District Bank

Cannot confirm if there was only ONE branch of the District Banking Company Limited in Barrow, but the following may be of interest. Originally they were know as The Manchester & Liverpool District Banking Company Limited and prior to that I had a cheque of The Lancaster Banking Company, Barrow in Furness of 1878, who were absorbed by the M & L District Banking Company Limited in 1907. Hoping I can find a Frith photo of the bank.
