I Was Married Here

A Memory of Basingstoke.

I was married there in 1964, long before it was swamped by the town centre. My daughter was christened there. I then went to work at Van Moppes, can anyone remember it? I was living at Viables Farm, a working farm then, I believe it's a craft centre now. They were good days.

Are you Pam Mather that used to work at Fentocraft in East Ham London
My Dad worked at Van Moppes for 30 years . 25 years in Basingstoke and then relocated and retired with them 5 years later. He was a lathe turner when he joined in 1955 . What was your job ,wondering if you might have known my dad .
His boss was Arthur Tilley
