This charming village on the river Derwent is dominated by the grounds of Chatsworth House. This section of the area is the old village known as Nether End. Newer parts to the north - Over End and Bridge End - are not quite so attractive. The Standard (?) car is registered in nearby Sheffield.

My memory having title "Lost Friendship In Time" was published on 25.01.08 that describes my friendship with Ms Elizabeth Noton who used to reside at 13, West End, Baslow, Bakewell, Darbyshire, England in 1967. We were in touch with till 1973 but our contact snapped due to many obvious reasons. I'm now 61 yrs old and probably she will be 55 yrs old lady. It was 12May1967 when I first received a beautiful letter from her. She was a high school student and I was student of 1st yr Engineering (Bengal Engineering College, Sibpore, Howrah, West Bengal, India). Her name was Miss Elizabeth Noton.
