Hi Haley great to see your memories of Bassaleg. I think I maybe a bit older than you when looking at the shops list because I remember Vince James and Brian running their first shop on the gulley from St Basil's Crescent to (as it was then) Duffryn Terrace. Just out of intrest wife and I ran mrs Lawton's shop for a couple of years in the late 70's early 80's.I remember relations of yours from Fort View, Michael and Terry and their parents I think were Tom and Nellie Podmore but I am assuming they are your relations.
