I am searching for any references or memories relating to the LOVELACE family
I am told there was a Lovelace Place and a Lovelace Chapel in the Roman Catholic church. If any person has any such knowledge, please contact me via this site.

RE: RE: Lovelace Family

Hello, My family have lived at Lovelace Farm, Bethersden for the past 50 years or so. My grandmother purchase Lovelace Farm and my father and grandfather ran a dairy farm, with us growing up in the Oast house on the farm, converted by my dad and his friends. Sadly, when my grandparents both died, we had to sell the big house. I know that the Lovelace family used to be in touch with my gran, years ago. At odd times during the summer random visiters used to knock at the door, may be they still do! Obviously it is not the most trustworthy source, but if you look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Lovelace you will find more info on Richard Lovelace.

RE: RE: Lovelace Family

My mum, who was a Mills from Potten Farm through the 1930s, 1940s and early 1950s, says: "Lovelace was a big house, turn left at the school on the Wissenden Road. I don't remember that there were actual Lovelaces that lived there then. There is a Lovelace poet but do not have any other data."
