Why are these different? All 300,000 photographs in The Frith Collection have been scanned, but as the photos were taken over a 110 year period on a wide range of glass & film negatives, using different photographic processes, every image has to be checked and optimised, before we make a print for a customer.

I was at St Josephs from 1952 until 1959, my name was Kathleen Mccoy i had 2 sisters with me Pauline Battles and Sheelagh Mccoy. I remember some names ,Theresa Thompson, Dorothy Wray , Roselyn Gallagher, Kathleen and Margaret Riley, to name a few. I was one of the youngest at that time in the home. It would be nice to know if anyone else was there with us.
Whilst my brother lived just down the road in St. Mary's boys home, Boston Spa.myself & 2 sisters lived in St. Joseph's catholic girls home. This was in the late 60's. I first went to the primary school in Clifford, St. Edwards I think. The headmaster was a Mr Haynes. Then I attended the John Fisher school in Harrogate. Does anyone know if St. Joseph's children's home in Boston Spa still exists? Glenda My surname was Hughes.
Hi Thomas Ramshaw Dalby was my great great grandfather. I have an image of Dalby's Hotel, which was later the Royalty, and is now a corner shop supermarket on the High Street. There are memorials in Boston Spa churchyard to Thomas and his decendants.
Originally from the North East, I moved to a children's home in Boston Spa around 1970/1 ish. I had three brothers who moved there with myself and we lived most of our youth there. We used to walk to St. Edwards primary school in Clifford which was about a miles walking distance.
