Greet Road

Yes I remember Greet Road - my grandparents lived there in the 40’s - their names were Frederick & Alice James - we lived in Windmill Road then later Clayponds Avenue

My aunt and uncle Liz and Fred. Webberley they had 2 daughters Doreen and Beryl lived near the shop ..

I does anybody have any pictures of greet Rd or surrounding areas as my husband remembers this Rd as his grandparents lived in this Rd but he has no picture s. Would very much like to see this Rd as it was before.

Hi my name is Barbara Ottewill (nee Hutchinson). I remember Greet Road and Doreen and Beryl Webberley, and the Christmas family that lived next door to them. We lived in Bedford Road next door to Butlers shop. Unfortunately I don't have any photos to show.

Hello Barbara - my family lived at 57 Greet Road from 1911 to the 70's. In fact my grandmother was one of the last to be moved before the houses were torn down. Her name was Lillian Badrick Howard Emblem. My mother and brothers were also raised there. I was as a baby before mother and I came to the US with my American father. I have a few pictures which do show the houses (at least behind my Uncle and what the little gardens looked like. I know little about adding pics on this site, so lt me know if you are interested and how best for me to put them up. Carol McMullen Gomez

I have a interest in Greet Road Brentford as my great grandmothers family (Hayden) lived at number 54 until I believe if memory serves me the late sixties. She was known as Ada, her husband Charles passed in the early sixties.
They had four children, Gladys, Dorothy, Charles (known as Reg) and Victor.
I lived there with my Mother from 1955 until 1960 when I was 5 years old and we moved to Westbury Place Brentford after my mother re married.
If any of your family have memories of knowing my family I would love to hear. I do have a few photos of my great grand parents and would be very interested to see any other photos of the area or people.
