Highwood Hospital Research Tb Convalescent Home
A Memory of Brentwood.
My mum was a patient in Highwoods Hospital when it was used as a TB Sanatorium in the 1940s-1950s. Her name was Shirley Fennell and she was there at the age of 4/5 for around 18 months.
I've always been fascinated about my mum's time there and I am currently researching more about the home for a novel.
