Can You Help?

Can anyone tell me if this photo is taken looking towards Victoria Street or towards High Street? In the 1860's my ancesters had a business "W & F Boucher, Tea Dealers" at 1 Bridge Parade, Bristol which was just at the end of the bridge on the Victoria Street side, before the crossroads. Could the building in the photograph, advertising Lloyds Tea, be their business? Hoping someone can help!

RE: RE: Can You Help?

Hi Margaret

The photograph is looking towards the High Street, the building on the corner advertising tea is in Bridge Street.  The church with the dome on the left of the picture is All Saints, to it's right is the tower of Christchurch.  Further to the right you can just make out the tower of St Mary le Port above the rooftops.  Sadly everything to the right of Christchurch was destroyed in the blitz except for the remains of St Mary le port and it's tower.
