Fond Memories

My grandfather, Reginald Dean, of 130 Bridge Road, Oulton Broad, used to moor his boat- the Eel- in the Staithe. I used to walk there ever day with him to pump it out and make a brew in the summer holidays. his pipe kept the mossies at bay. Great times.

Cox's Boat Yard

This photo shows Cox's boatyard in late autumn not long after the boat shed on the left had been built. The shed had been part of a wartime camp some where in East Anglia and had been re-erected by the Cox brothers, Lewis and Sonny, complete with American pinups.
