My Great Grand Parents Wedding
My great-grand parents - Charles and Sarah Roblett - married at Layston. Their daughter Dorothy Roblett married Christopher McHugh, of Archers in Buntingford. The wedding here took place some time between 1920-1940, the church was open air and they married on Christmas Eve. Chris and Dorothy had three children, Christopher, Bernadette (my mother) and John. They passed away over 20 years ago now.

RE: RE: My Great Grand Parents Wedding
Hello, I was looking at photos of Buntingford (where I grew up) when I came across "My Great Grandparents' Wedding" I lived near your family in Archers and I played with John, Chris and Bernadette (I used to take Bernadette out in her pushchair) and their Mum, Dolly, was lovely. My Mum and Dad called her Dolly and she used to have a cup of tea and a chat with my parents now and again. My name was Patricia Surridge and I have a sister called Eveline and we lived at number 32. I moved when I got married at 21 years old in 1968 and I now live near Saffron Walden in Essex. I drive through Buntingford now and again and the photos brought back such wonderful memories. Regards, Patricia Squirrell.
