ROYAL AIRFORCE MEMORIES
I was at Pitreavie when it was a signals station for the Royal Navy and the RAF. We were like moles underground most of the time. The best thing about it was the warmth and the peace. We had a great crew down there, RAF and WRAF together. One of my best memories was the wedding of LAC Triggs and Corporal Sutton, WRAF. From here I was posted to RAF North Point in Hong Kong. Happy days.

School Days
I lived in Mossgreen, Crossgates in the 60s. My first school was in Mossgreen, it had only 3 classrooms and 1 of the classes was taken by the headmaster Mr Suttie. Mr and Mrs Suttie lived in the headmaster's house next to the school and Mrs Suttie was a teacher at Crossgates Primary.
Mossgreen School
I lived in Crossgates and my first school was also Mossgreen. The headmaster was Mr Burgess and the teachers were Miss Taylor, Miss Curry and Miss Mitchell. My brothers and I have many happy memories of Crossgates, exploring the Taft and the Bulwark.
Mossgreen Scool
I attended Mossgreen School from 1952 aged 5 years until 1958 when I went to Crossgates Secondary. There were three classrooms, also three teachers, Mrs Orr / Mrs Birrell and Mr Suttie the head teacher. They were magic years and I loved going to school. I also remember going to the local playpark next to the "Bully" which was the old site of the Bulwark pit. Another great place to play was the Moss Wood at Fordell, sadly no longer there, cut down many years ago. I can talk for ever about my Mossgreen childhood, I have so many evocative memories. Happy, happy days.
