Dyfed memories
My grandad came from Pembroke, when my dad was a boy he used to visit there. He said he used to have to dress up tidy when going to visit family there. His name was William Rowland Hill. He said one of his relatives done a stained glass window in a little church in Pembroke Dock but I can't remember where... [more]

The white dust on the water in the Pembroke photgraphs is flour from the Town Watermill. After a minor fire this lovely building was wickedly destroyed by the Council. It would be a major attraction today.

I moved to Hundleton in the 1950s and spent all my childhood in and around, living at Belmont then Quiot's Hill before living for a while in Gilead, then back to River View. As the years passed my love for Freshwater West grew but due to the lack of work then I moved away and to this day regret doing so.... [more]

This photograph shows my father's car reg EDE 3 at the traffic lights in Castle Square. He was William Gywther Thomas, Divisional Highways Surveyor. Haverfordwest Town and City Memories
A superb view looking up the Western Cleddau into Haverfordwest with the castle in the center and the tower of St Thomas a Becket on the hill overlooking it. Note the steamer in the forefront of the picture. The priory ruins can just be seen across the river and below St Thomas`.
