Part of Kettering Borough, Burton Latimer has grown from a farming community into a small town over the years. It was originally associated chiefly with shoe manufacture, though these days its main industries focus on breakfast cereal and aluminium casks for the brewery trade. The Waggon & Horses in the High Street is still in business.
