Calne,
I worked in Harris's factory in the early 70's, first in the sausage room then in the pre-pack bacon, then into the tinned ham room. Not the best job I have had but it kept the wolf from the door. My! how Calne has changed since then!

RE: RE: Calne,
I am desperate, I am looking for a man called Eddie or Edward. His parents had a shoe shop in Calne in the late 1950s or rearly 1960s. All I know is he was a red-head and he had a sister and his parents ran a shoe shop near the factory. Eddie must be in his late 70s now or near about that age. He was courting my mother Concetta and my mother worked in Roundway Hospital in Devizes. She has always spoken about him and regretted ever leaving this lovely man. If anyone know an Eddie or Edward who goes by this description my mother just wants to know that he is ok. My number is Swindon 01793 610711.
