Hi all,
Can anyone help with memories or anything connected to the great British company MacFisheries 1919-1979/80?
I'm constructing a non profit making web-site dedicated to this long gone major company and any help would be greatly appreicated.
See:  www.macfisheries.co.uk
Is Macs in any of the Camberley High Street photos on this site?
Here's hoping

RE: RE: Help With MacFisheries Website

Hi Colin,
Firstly it was Macfisheries my husband and i worked in, and not Mac Market. My husband started work in the Camberley shop in 1963. A Mr Lewis was the Manager then. Then a Mr Ray Sandys took over in about 1965-1966. I started working there in July 1967, and Mr Sandys was still there then for about 8 months, then a Mr Davis took over as Manager in 1968. I left the shop in about 1972. Macfisheries closed down a while after, I would say about 1975, then a Mac Market opened up in another street in Camerley for a few years, then of course finished altogether. The lady that used to work in the staff canteen in Macfisheries was a Mrs Huggins, (Huggy was her nick name). Thankyou for giving me your web-site to look at, I will find it very interesting to look at when you have finished it. If my husband and I can be of any more help to you please let us know.
Regards,
Brenda.

Colin, I can't seem to send you a message, could you give me your E-Mail address, and I will give you all the names of Macs' workers and their job titles. Thankyou.
Brenda.
