More about this scene

Surrounding this monument to Lord de Dunstanville, erected in 1836, are the famous Carn Brea remains, near Redruth. They consist of possibly the oldest known Neolithic village in England, and are dated about 3700BC. It subsequently became home to Iron Age inhabitants, who left behind their circular huts and fort ramparts.
