Mortlock Family

My father was a Mortlock and was born in Chelmsford. His father was William born 1843.
I believe my Father lived at Bishops Hall Mill.

One of his sisters married into the Batsford family. If anyone has any information I would be happy to hear from them.

I was christened in the Cathedral and spent weekends with cousins that lived in the area during the 40s and 50s.

RE: RE: Mortlock Family

Hi there Brenda, bear with me while I sort this out. It was your father's sister ADA who married one WILLIAM JOHN BATSFORD in OCT.-DEC., 1920 at KINGSTON, SURREY. This was for both of them their second marriage. ADA had previously married one EDWARD COLLINS in APRIL-JUNE, 1910 at Chelmsford. Hope that this is of use to you and feel free to contact me should you require further information. No, I am not related, but being retired and doing family genealogy research allows me the fredom to help who I can. Best regards, John.
