Hill Family From Chesham
I am trying to trace the Hill family from Chesham. William Hill and wife Maria lived at 90 Severalls Avenue, Chesham in the 1919 census, and their son. I do know Ernest Hill was living in Lye Green in 1911 and he was a fishmonger. It would be great if anyone has any info for me.

I have many Hills in my family tree from Chesham, Bovington, Ashley Green, if Jenny Wordsworth is interested. My great-aunt Mary Saunders married a Henry Hill born 1839, had son George 1878, in 1911 census their address was 44 George Street, Chesham, Bucks. He had a son called Harold born 1900
George had siblings Elizabeth, Annie, Arthur, Ellen and Emily.

I have just found William Hill, brother to George, born 1890 in Chesham.

I have Henry Hill born in Ashley Green, Bucks and George Hill in Chesham, Bucks. I may of course be wrong as I am really doing the Saunders tree, my grandmother being a Minnie Saunders, sister to Mary who married a Henry Hill.

Hi Thank you for your replies. My William Hill was born in Ironbridge, Shropshire. In 1851 he married Maria King who was born in Nassington, Northamptonshire ,she was born 1855. They had the following children: William Hill born 1883 in Nassington Ernest Hill born 1879 in Nassington Bertrum Hill born 1884 in Lingwood, Norfolk Gertrude Hill born 1887 in Cowden, Kent Ada Hill born in Winton, Hampshire Lily Hill born 1897 in Chesham, Bucks Leonard Arthur Hill born 1892 Chesham, Bucks Charlie Hill born 1894 in Chesham, Bucks In the 1911 census William and Maria and Charlie, Leonard and Lily were living at 90 Severalls Avenue, Chesham. I would like to find out if William their son married and also what happened to all the Hill children, if anyone can help. Kind regards, Jenny.

I too am trying to trace the ancestors of a HENRY HILL who may have come from the Chesham area. He was born abt 1817 and married an Elizabeth BULL in 1845 at Stoke Goldington, Bucks. He is the largest stumbling block on my extensive family tree and cannot trace siblings. Past family members recall a relative descending from Romanies. Could this have been Henry?
