Thomas Ledsham Wilkinson

Eastgate Street c1950

My wife Joan's grandfather Thomas Ledsham Wilkinson owned various fish and poultry shops in Chester on and around Eastgate Street and Watergate Street.  We recently visited Chester to try and trace the one shop we thought he had owned to discover that he actually owned several in the area and an ice factory.  We were also able to find his grave from an old photograph of his first wife Elizabeth's headstone.  We believe his first shop was at 21 Watergate Street. If anyone has any further information or photographs of any of the above we can be contacted at Derekaynsley@yahoo.co.uk.

RE: RE: Thomas Ledsham Wilkinson

I am the great great grandaughter of Thomas Ledsham Wilkinson. His son Alfred Wilkinson died young and the family in Canada has little to no knowledge of the family who stayed in England. Any information about them or pictures would be appreciated. We're trying to trace our family tree but know nothing beyond Thomas and his wife Elizabeth (nee Woodward).

RE: RE: Thomas Ledsham Wilkinson

Alfred & Leonard migrated to Canada, Alfred was apparently killed in an agricultural accident. The rest of that linage consisted of Thomas, Cicely, Frederick, William, Paula, Norman Joan's father, and Harold who married in Denmark and now has descendents in Gibraltar and Spain. After having this family, Elizabeth died and Thomas Ledsham remarried.
Who is your great grandfather? Why not contact us by e-mail at derekaynsley@yahoo.co.uk as I am sure we both have lots of information to pass on.
