I lived in Millers Close until 1959, went to the C of E CP school until 1957. I well remember the grocer next to the baker ( I always had to collect the Hot Cross buns on Good Friday). Also Pardy and Johnson, Mr Fullers junk shop, Mr Bliss the Ice Cream and the riding stables Happy memories - anyone else remember these???Jenny Seaborn
Do you remember me - Jenny Seaborn? I remember Sandra Cobby from Coopers Close, the old phone box there, and my father used to go racing with Bill Cross.
Hi, just found the site. I lived at 19 coopers close from about 1952/3 unti joining the army in 1962 aged 17 and 9 months. I remember that the playground was just over our back fence so nice shortcut. Buster Bailey was my best buddy ( sorry all my other mates!) Terry Parker, Raymond Rolf and the Gibson clan.what a great place to live. Could go on but not for my first attept. I am easy to remember as the only mixed race lad in the village.
