Timms Family

My great-grandfather and his father were agricultural workers in Chipping Warden. I would like to find out about the area and the Timms family.

RE: RE: Timms Family

Aubrey,

My wife's mother was Alice LaRue Tims. Alice's father was LeRoy Tims. His father was Thomas Marshall Tims and his father was John Gardner Tims. This family immigrated to the United States in the 1860's. In May 2010 we visited the St. Peter and St. Paul Church in Chipping Warden, UK and found a tombstone containing the following information:

Father:
Thomas Tims - Died May 28, 1850 (43 years old)
Mother:
Hannah Tims - Died January 24, 1850 (42 years old)
Children:
George Tims - Born April 28, 1835 (1 month old)
Sarah Tims - Died July 29, 1861 (19 years old)
Mary Ann Tims - Died November 30, 1878 (46 years old)
Susan Tims - Died May 17, 1907 (71 years old)

RE: RE: Timms Family

Looking for descendents of Winifred Constance Timms (nee Dennett) or Irene Elizabeth Timms (her daughter), who married Sidney Ellis Smith in 1938.
