Tarrymount Farm South of Clochan

Tarrymount is/was a farm of about 75 acres, situated in the Braes of Enzie. My grandfather, Robert Urquhart, was Grieve on the farm. In April 1941 a German aircraft dropped a bomb which exploded  on the farmland. A cousin of mine remembered visiting the farm, as a child, and souveniring a piece of shrapnel.

RE: RE: Tarrymount Farm South of Clochan

My Geddes family farmed at Tarrymount in the 1840's and 1850's. I would love to have directions to the farm, as we plan to visit old family haunts when we visit.

RE: RE: Tarrymount Farm South of Clochan

Hi Folks,

I found this site by accident whilst searching for Tarrymount. I am trying to research my "Wilson" family tree, and find that a few members of my family who were born in the Enzie area, have their birthplace given as Tarrymount. I would like to find out more about the Farm and it's occupants over the years, and hopefully this would help to verify the informationI already have.

I would be grateful for any information that could be given through the site.

Regards . . . . Kenny Wilson
