SPANISH ENGLISH STUDENT
I think I was one of the first Spanish students that went to England to learn English. This was forty years ago, and I suppose that I have lost a lot of my English. I lived in the Franciscan Convent School from September 1969 till April 1970. I remember Sister Filomena, Mark Balard and some other colleagues. I had such a nice experience there and I hope to visit the place again although I have read that nowadays it is not as I remember the place. It would be a pleasure to hear from others students at that time.

RE: RE: SPANISH ENGLISH STUDENT
Hi, My name is Sally Rufus (nee Bell). I was at the convent around 1953/55 and just wondered if you knew of anyone else that might have been there around that time?

HI!
We were there at the same timeā¦I was the only French speaking, from Switzerland...
I came in 09/69 - 07/71, then I came back one month during each summer...
I was at the boarding school, girls side with Sr.??!
You should have a look at Franciscan Convent Copthorne on Facebook!
I remember Sr. Bonaventure...as a teacher and "director" at that time...
Hasta la vista!
