I think the landlord's name was George.  Can't remember his wife's name.  The food was marvellous, the atmosphere and friendliness second to none.  The Vista Golf was installed during 1969

I have a friend who is 91 who grew up in Cottesmore. As I listen to her story, I looked up Cottesmore and absolutely loved the old photos. My friend Iris was raised by the George and Fanny Knight family. George worked on farms in the area.
Iris served England in the army during WWII and then immigrated to Australia after the war in 1950. Thanks for contributing to this site. Just wanted you to know that a person from Australia has enjoyed your efforts. Ann
