Further to my History of The Granada Thornton Heath
I have been searching Google Earth photos, I cannot find any trace of The Granada Thornton Heath. It appears to have now been demolished. What a shame, a part of my childhood has disappeared completely

RE: RE: Further to my History of The Granada, Thornton Heath
I have also searched for this, I lived nearby in the 1950s and went to the "Saturday Morning Pictures" - as one of The Grenadiers. I understand it has now been demolished after becoming a Bingo Hall. I have come across some pictures of the Savoy at Broad Green - later the ABC (this has also been demolished after lying derelict for some time). I remember seeing many pop concerts there, including The Beatles and Roy Orbison. This site has some pictures of the original Savoy, I remember the entrance hall and the 2 glorious staircases and art deco facade. http://www.croydononline.org/history/photographs2.asp?wtP=15
