Playing around the lanes and all of the walks we went on as children , the different shops there now all gone . There was Nethercotts the Top of Anthill The tuck shop on the green paper shop the cobblers Buttons hairdressers Restalls Butchers and groceries with the post office Pratts the butchers. hardware shop, Gregories and the shop at the top of Mill road I cant remember the name of that one , we lived on Anmore road and there used to be a bakers past shrover hall . My dad used to to run the Army cadets . Do you remember the blacksmiths on the way to school just past the White Hart ? The number 39 bus ah great memories ,I could go on but maybe next time .. I would love to know all the names of the shops we had in Denmead , I do remember when the Co- op came and Tarents and the Chemist oh and Mrs Goulds shop down Anmore road where I used to live ..
