Does anyone remember the illuminations in the Dell at Hexthorpe Flatts? I can remember seeing them in the 1950s. I lived on Urban Road and Beaconsfield Road, both of which are in Hexthorpe. I now reside in Canada.

RE: RE: Illuminations

Hello, I remember going to the illuminations in Hexthorpe Flatts with my dad, it would have been late 1940s, early 1050s. I'd never seen anything like it before, it was beautiful. I too remember the gondola. I have an old photograph of the automated Guinness clock, do you remember that? At certain times we all stood in front of it to see what would happen, I wonder what happened to that.
