Davis Family History
I have been researching the Davis family, who lived on Feckenham Square for many years. My grandfather used to tell us that he remembers going to his grandparent's house when he was a boy in the early 1900s. I have found family members living here as early as 1861, although they certainly lived in the village before then. I live in Australia, and I would dearly love to see these places one day.

Hi Linda, Not sure how my tree links in with yours but I am also descended from a Davis family that I have traced back to Inkberrow. So far I have gone back to a John Davis born 1808, who was a farmer working on Priory Piece. It appears my family stayed there for a few generations before the line I'm descended from moved to Birmingham and then up to Bolton. From doing some further research I have also discovered that Priory Piece still has a farmer present day with the surname 'Davis' so possibly some living distant relation? Any information from anyone would be appreciated. Thanks, Sam.
Hicks Family
This photo shows the shop where I was born in the 1950's - my mum's name is on the sign above the shop, June Veronica Hicks. The photo must be after 1964 as it was my dad's,John Hicks's Newsagents shop & that was the year he died. There was also a shop just showing on the left behind the black & white buliding which was a baker where the bread was baked on site & that was run by Frank Hicks who was my uncle. The Hicks family lived in the village from about the early 1800's. We left in 1971 & there are no Hicks's living in the village now. We would love to return but cannot afford the house prices now. Workman Family
My grandmother was born in Bishampton 1891, Maggie Elizabeth Workman, daughter to Honeybourn and Emma Spires. Her aunt Sarah Spires donated a large sum of money to the church, there is a plaque to say.
Honeybourn's father was George Workman, he married Margaret Standley. Does anyone have information? I would appreciate any information, photos etc.

Grand Old Man of Pinvin
My great grandfather Fred Love was from Pinvin I am looking for relatives in England. I am from Springfield Illinois US. My father was his grandson by his son Fred Love. Also David Love wrote poetry in this area also. William Malloy wrote a book about my family and Fred Love. I would love to hear from the family or friends.
Astwood Bank Co-Op......remember It?
It was so interesting to find a few photos of old Astwood Bank on here. I moved to the village when my mother married my step father, Jesse Bradley, in 1964. We lived at 21 High Street and I got a job at the Co-operative grocery store on Evesham Road. The manager then was Harry Pearson and he lived with his sister and brother-in-law in the little cottage next to the shop. Gladys Harman was the accounts lady and Rene Bishop worked on the bakery counter. I worked on the grocery side with Des Potter and Betty Winkfield. It seemed like a huge shop at the time but I realise now that it was actually quite small! There was a a large clock hanging outside the shop and an archway at the side led to the rear yard ~ we even had a hoisting hook to take large boxes up to the upper storey.
