Childhood Memories

I was born in Earith High St. at a place called 'The Laurels', long gone I think. I went to school at Earith VC and the head teacher was Mr. Harrison (Pip). My mother kept the Crown pub for a long time and before that the George and Dragon. I would like to hear if anyone is running a web site as I have lots of old pictures I would like to share.

RE: RE: Childhood Memories

I was wondering if anyone has any information about the house/houses that used to be at 113 High. I understand that it was once a cottage and a house. If anyone can provide any information, old pictures we can scan, what the house was used for (we have found a lot of horseshoes), or who lived there, we would be very interested. Thanks Wendy

RE: RE: Childhood Memories

Hi I moved to Earith about three years ago and was wondering if you knew any history about my house. I live at Corner Cottage, 75 High Street, would have been opposite the George pub which is no longer there. I would like to see some different pictures and know who used to live here and what the house was used for. I have been told it was a cobblers and a hairdressers, not sure which if either is correct. Anything is of interest. Many thanks, Geoff
