Bon Dolphi's Tea Shop ?
Late 1940s vague recollection. Does the name Bon Dolphi ring a bell with anyone out there, as possibly a tea/cake shop, possibly down on sea-front ? I believe it was in Eastbourne but I was only a nipper at the time so could easily be mistaken.

RE: RE: Bon Dolphi's Tea Shop ?
Bondolphi's was opposite the cenotaph on the round-a-bout at South Street, Cornfield Road and Devonshire Place in Eastbourne ( I think it is now a furniture store). Bondolphi was a chocolatier and his windows were always full of chocolate chickens, rabbits and amazing selections of delicious chocolates. It was as you said also a very good tea shop/ cafe . - funnily enough I have a dark brown china casserole dish shaped like a chicken and we call it the bondophi chicken - I now live in Australia and this was a great memory kick - thank you
