I remember spending many hours at the lido with my sister and my friends, and the memory of buying cups of hot bovril from the hut, warming up and enjoying it so much. And the endless hours of fun spent there.

RE: RE: Swimming Pool.

I, like many Eastleigh school children learnt to swim at the Bishopstoke outdoor pool and can still picture Arnold in his striped swimming costume with his glasses on - I am sure I can also remember him smoking a pipe. I do know the water was really cold, and Arnold used to line us up against the changing cubicles and then make us all jump in - can't ever remember seeing him get in though! The cups of Oxo were 3d each.
