Broadway Cinema c1955

Good days at the Lyndale nipping out to the Hare and Hounds for a pint, also the town hall pub. Yes, fantastic nights there from about 1961-1964, I saw Herman's Hermits, Dave Berry ect, had some good times there, I wish they could come back. I went to Broadway (which later became the Court School of Dancing), saw the Hollies and other great stars of the day. I wish we were all 18 again.

RE: RE: Lyndale/Broadway, Eccles

Yes I remember those days too, I remember Freddy and the Dreamers being sneaked into the Talk of the North round the back. My sister stopped going out with him, she said he was barmy walking down the road before he got famous. And I remember the yo yo contest at the Broadway cinema. We never got bored and on a hot day we would burst the tar bubbles on the road, lol. And what about the steam trains, that's another story.
