The West Family
Research into my family history took me and my father to the beautiful villages of Bulmer and Eddlethorpe. It was a very moving experience to see my great-great-great-grandfather's headstone, William West, who my own father is named after. He was a schoolmaster in Bulmer and was originally from Eddlethorpe. I believe his father may also have been a schoolmaster in Eddlethorpe. I would dearly love to trace any living relatives or know more about the West family.

RE: RE: The West Family
My ancesters are also Wests but ran the grocers shop in Westow, but during my research I found lots of unrelated Wests from Eddlethope. I know you probably know them already, but here are their names just in case. Thomas & Hannah West had 2 sons, 1800 William, 1802 Francis & 2 daughters, 1805 Mariah, 1807 Cattren all from Eddlethope. Also a Robert west from Bulmer married Hannah Ashton from Westow in 1826. Plus lots of Wests died in Eddlethorpe, Mariah 1797, Henry 1796, Francis 1794, Eleanor 1794, Mary 1794, James 1790, Catharine 1782, Thomas 1807. Some of these names have strange spellings but that's how they were written on the records. Hope I haven't bored you? I just find it all very interesting.
