RE: RE: Remembering my Granny Tibbett
Granny Tibbett was my great grandmother. I have fond memories of her in her little cottage with the cows in the field behind her window. As a child I was fascinated by seeing their legs passing by outside at what was ceiling height inside. A simmering kettle was ever present beside her. My own mother has often described Granny as a wonderful cook who could create mouthwatering dishes from very little, especially during the war years. We cherish the picture of her, straw in mouth, taken in the 50s when she was demonstrating her expertise in the art of straw plaiting.
