The Bowling Green, Elmstead Market
My great grandfather William Henry Parkins ran The Bowling Green from the 1920s until his death in 1953. I am aware that the Pub has now closed and the last time I visited (6-7 years ago) it was being converted into a private home. I would like to hear from anyone who remembers my great grandfather or any other members of the Parkins family.

RE: RE: The Bowling Green, Elmstead Market
To John Parkins, I am Emma Inett, great-grandaughter to Grace Irene Parkins. I found from Grace's marraige certificate that her father was Harry Parkinsm a publican, of The Bowling Green Pub. Grace married Reginald Jack Rowland, Oct 17th 1939. My grandad is Maurice Cox, he was adopted at ten months. He was the child of Grace Irene Parkins, born on the 18th of May 1930. My grandad, I and his six children would love to here from you and any other Parkins family. We are only just researching his family tree and would love to find out more information. Emma Inett
