Pleasaunce
A Memory of Eltham.
My nan lived at 11 Basket Gardens, which was near the pleasaunce, and she would take us there when we visited her. It was a wonderful place, my favourite being the stepping stones which led through a small stream, My school, the Gorden, was at Wellhall and I would spend my lunch breaks there when I was older. The last time that I visited it with my father it was rather run down, so I wrote to the local council who wrote a lovely letter back to me saying that a grant had been awarded to do it all up and the work would be starting soon. I will go back one day and have a look.
