Evacuees

I was evacuated to Evenlode as a small child, I lived with a family in a small cottage opposite the school, I would be interested to make contact with anyone with a similar history or of knowledge of the area at that time. I am not sure of the year, I was quite young. Frank Piner

RE: RE: Evacuees

I was evacuated to Todenham in 1939. I became part of the Bishop family and lived at Lower farm for about five years. I also lived for a short time in Church Cottage, No 1, with Lesley Bishop and his wife Sybil, nee Web. The only name I remember is Mary. She sat next to me in the little school at the bottom of the hill. I'm wondering whether anyone remembers me?

RE: RE: Evacuees

I have since found out I was not evacuated, my mother moved to Evenlode for a while to be near our Father who was stationed withe the RAF in Morton in the Marsh.
