Re: Davis Family History
Hi Linda, Not sure how my tree links in with yours but I am also descended from a Davis family that I have traced back to Inkberrow. So far I have gone back to a John Davis born 1808, who was a farmer working on Priory Piece. It appears my family stayed there for a few generations before the line I'm descended from moved to Birmingham and then up to Bolton. From doing some further research I have also discovered that Priory Piece still has a farmer present day with the surname 'Davis' so possibly some living distant relation? Any information from anyone would be appreciated. Thanks, Sam.

RE: RE: Re: Davis Family History
John Davis of Inkberrow, Priory Farm was my great-great grandfather on my mother's side. My grandmother Martha Elizabeth is the daughter of Robert Davis from his second marriage (she had a half brother Wynn who moved to Birmingham and half sister Honor who moved to Canada). Robert settled in the village of Cookhill and my grandparents lived in the same cottage on Evesham Road, Cookhill until 1975. We have no connection with the Davis family who currently reside at Priory Farm Inkberrow. John Davis widow moved to a small holding in Cladswell Cookhill after his death. Robert Davis and his second wife are buried in St Pauls Cookhill, as is my grandmother and her husband Martha and Arthur Anker. I have photos of Robert Davis plus press cutting of his funeral and can forward copies to interested parties.
