Fun Times

My maiden name was Glendinning, Anne, and we moved from Benton to Lilac Avenue in 1968 when I was 7 years old. We lived there while the house upgrades took place and quite a few of the families were shipped out to live in Killingworth but we stayed as my brother was disabled so we couldn't move into the towers where most people were sent. We lived over the road from the Sales family, Scullions, next door to the Hutchinsons, Murphy's, etc etc. If anyone remembers please answer my blog...would love to have a chat about the old days. Anne Stewart (nee Glendinning).

RE: RE: Fun Times

Re: Ann Glendinning's memories of Lilac Avenue: My family lived at No 7 and I remember your brother Johnny and the Straughans who lived next door to you - Alan, Linda and Alder where my friends. It was a very friendly place and we all looked after each other. My name was Kathleen King then. I've been away for 41 years now.

RE: RE: Fun Times

Re: Ann Glendinning's memories, you said you moved from Benton. Did you live on Sandringham Avenue? I knew Glendinnings back in the early 1960s on Sandringham Avenue. I was born at 59 Sandringham and then we moved to 1 St Margarets Avenue. In 1964 we moved to Northern Ireland.
