RE: RE: Galway

I'm responding to the query re: Martin McDonagh. My Uncle was called Martin McDonagh, related to the Faherty family in Connemara. Do get in touch if you think this is who are are looking for.

All the best

RE: RE: Galway

Hello, thanks for your message. Martin had 6 brothers and sisters. He will be in his 60s or 70s. On reading the site about Galway there are numerous Martin Mcdonaghs. He was in a Catholic home when his dad died young. He was in some hospital run by nuns in 1974 and also was in some sort of band. James Mcdonagh was my husband from 1974, he was Martin's elder brother. Jim's  Irish name was Seamus. He also had another, elder, brother Patrick Never met Martin knew he had illness 1974. Seamus and Patrick lived in England, both died 1985. Had sister in London 1980. I will not find Martin on the bit of information I have but you never know. Thanks, write to me any time.

RE: RE: Galway

Hi Kathleen

It's a shame, but it does look like my Uncle isn't who you're looking for. I myself am looking for my clan in Connemara - sadly I lost touch with them a long time ago. I'm not holding out much hope of finding them to be honest as they lived in a very small area near the sea (beautiful as I recall).

I do wish you well with your ongoing search.

Best wishes
Geraldine
