Hi, I'm trying to trace the family of Judith Jones or James that married a Samuel Reed, they then lived at Heath Farm, Childerthornton, can anyone help? I was told Judith was born in Storeton, but no such match has come up on this site.

I recall happy memories of the Bathing Pool. It had two fountains spurting over fake rocks. We used to climb on these to cool off. In those days the Summers seemed to go on forever. The baths used to attract large attendances in those days.

Big Christmas Tree in The Cross, Moreton
One of my fondest memories is of the big Christmas tree at Moreton Cross all lit up, you could see it way up Pasture Road in the dark and to a small child it was magic. My Mum's cousin Ken bought Leasowe Castle and we were all very excited for him especially my Mum! We lived down near London but went to visit as much as my Dad could get time off work. The Wirral Photographic Memories
This row of shops with their protective glass awnings was built in the grounds of Cleveley Lodge (the building at the far left end of the row) in the 1930s. The parish church of St John the Baptist was consecrated on 12 April 1913; the foundation stone had been laid eighteen months earlier. St John's present church hall was the original - and temporary - church on the site, and it opened in 1901.
